1. Visiting Montes Claros
There is nothing like a visit to the residence. Will be glad to show
you around and answer your questions. To be able to give you our fullest
attention, we ask you to contact
us, so we can arrange a date for your
visit.
It's always good to know what other accommodation
alternatives are available, so you can choose the one that meets
your interests.
2. Application Form
The application form must be filled before the interview. Fill in
some family and studies data, and something about yourself. All data
will be of exclusive knowledge of Montes Claros Administration.
You can fill your application
form online.
3. Hand in Certificate of Studies
Should you prefer to fill the application form on the web, do not forget
to hand in your Certificates of Studies by the time of the interview.
4. Personal Interview
A member of the Administration of Montes Claros will interview you.
You will be informed of what there is to know about Montes Claros,
while we have a chance to get to know a little bit about you. It will
not be an exam, but a chance of the two parts being able to tell if
this is the best place for the candidate.
5. Application Review
After these steps, the candidate can go home and take his time to
consider everything, and then confirm his intent of “moving
in” to Montes Claros.
If the answer is yes, the Administration will
make the final decision according to the following criteria:
- Assessment of integration potential of the candidate in the residence
and acceptance of the house rules by the candidate.
- Studies curriculum of the candidate.
- Students in 1st year of undergrad program will be preferred.

Residence in Lisbon
Montes Claros University Residence was established in 1997/98,
giving students the opportunity to take a degree in Lisbon with
full success, developing their professional and social competencies
to the fullest.
It's not just a pension. Extra-curricular activities
include sports (swimming, squash, football and other sports), films,
day-excursions to places of interest, etc. Cultural and social events
are organized regularly. Our comprehensive range of Guest Speakers includes
well-known figures from political, financial and academic life.

Barreiro, the Residence provides an environment conducive to serious
study, both to residents and non-residents. The atmosphere in Montes
Claros is both friendly and professional, where individual attention
is given to students and their specific needs.
Montes Claros is founded on solidarity, responsibility
and liberty values, common to the Christian vision of the person.
Christian education is responsibility of the Opus
Dei prelature, an institution of the Catholic Church, founded
in 1928 by St. Josemaría Escrivá (1902-1975).
