University Hall of Residence in Lisbon

Montes Claros University Hall of Residence was established in 1997/98, giving students the opportunity to take a degree in Lisbon with full success, developing their professional and social competencies to the fullest.

It's not just a pension. Extra-curricular activities include sports (swimming, squash, football and other sports), films, day-excursions to places of interest, etc. Cultural and social events are organized regularly. Our comprehensive range of Guest Speakers includes well-known figures from political, financial and academic life.

Promoted by Associação Cultural Montes Claros in partnership with Fundação Maria Antónia Barreiro, the Residence provides an environment conducive to serious study, both to residents and non-residents. The atmosphere in Montes Claros is both friendly and professional, where individual attention is given to students and their specific needs.

Montes Claros is founded on solidarity, responsibility and liberty values, common to the Christian vision of the person. Christian education is responsibility of the prelature of  Opus Dei , an institution of the Catholic Church, founded in 1928 by St. Josemaria Escrivá (1902-1975).
